Costco is a great resource for inexpensive subject matter. Case in point, a bunch of beautiful sunflowers for about $10. Put them in the right place for the right light and voila! I could spend hours shooting these blossoms with my Sigma macro lens. The sampling here is from a 20 minute study I did of them, when the sun was hitting them just right.
 
The Adjustment brush was very helpful when it came to recovering shadow detail in the florets (the brown, central part of the sunflower). Did you know that the florets are all individual flowers? I didn't until just recently. 
Below is a collage I created, inspried by what @Bettina Güber did in one of her series. I used the Custom Package option in the print module, and made sure to downsample to 150ppi.
