I took a drive up to Gravenhurst, Ontario in early December to visit two friends of mine, now sleeping away the days in their respective berths at the Gravenhurst Docks. The Segwun and Wenonah II are two summer-fairing lake vessels, owned and operated by the Muskoka Steamships / Muskoka Boat & Heritage Centre (https://www.facebook.com/MuskokaSteamships). I've been aboard the Segwun several times for lake cruises and sunset dinner cruises. It's always been a great experience to be aboard, ploughing through the Muskoka Lakes like Lake Rosseau and Lake Joseph and listening to the guide as he (or she) points out various historical markers or just shares a great story about life on the Muskoka Lakes.

So, with my trusty Rokinon 14mm lens, I walked about a bit to capture the ladies slumbering away. It won't be too long now before the bay is completely frozen over and covered in multiple feet of snow. Trust me, I have photos of the area in deep winter, so I know.

I hope you enjoy this short series and the variations I created using (of course) Lightroom.
As you might be able to tell from this photo, the Segwun is undergoing some restoration work to the Bridge. She's going to look great when pylwood comes off!
This final image was shot on my iPhone, then processed through Instagram.
